What is an IBC tote?
An IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) tote is a reusable industrial container designed for storing and transporting liquids and granular materials. It consists of a blow-molded HDPE plastic bottle enclosed in a galvanized steel cage, mounted on a pallet base. Standard sizes range from 275 to 550 gallons. They are used across industries including food and beverage, chemical manufacturing, agriculture, and more.
What sizes of IBC totes do you carry?
We carry 275-gallon (the industry standard), 330-gallon, and 550-gallon IBC totes. The 275-gallon model is the most commonly available in both used and reconditioned conditions. Visit our Size Guide for detailed dimensions and specifications for each size.
What is the difference between used and reconditioned IBC totes?
Used totes are sold in their as-received condition after inspection and grading (A, B, or C). They have been drained but not professionally cleaned. Reconditioned totes go through our full 6-step process: disassembly, triple-wash cleaning with biodegradable agents, cage repair, new valve installation, pressure testing, and quality inspection. Reconditioned totes look and function like new at a fraction of the cost.
Are your used IBC totes food-grade?
Some of our used totes are food-grade, meaning they previously contained only food-safe materials. We track and disclose the history of every tote. If you need food-grade containers, let us know when ordering and we will ensure you receive totes with appropriate history. Note that all HDPE IBC bottles are made from food-safe plastic — the distinction is about what was previously stored in them.
Do you buy used IBC totes?
Yes! We actively purchase used IBC totes of all sizes and conditions. If you have totes you no longer need, contact us for a buyback quote. We offer free pickup for quantities of 10 or more in our primary service area (Florida panhandle and Gulf Coast). We pay competitive prices based on condition and quantity.
What is your delivery area?
Our primary service area covers the Florida panhandle (Pensacola to Panama City), including Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, and Crestview. We also serve southern Alabama, and parts of Georgia and Mississippi. For large orders (50+ totes), we can arrange delivery anywhere in the Southeast US. Contact us for a delivery quote to your location.
Do you offer bulk pricing?
Yes. Volume discounts are available for orders of 10+ totes, with increasing discounts at higher quantities. We also offer recurring delivery contracts for businesses with ongoing IBC needs. Contact our sales team for a custom bulk pricing quote.
How do I know what condition a used tote is in?
Every used tote we sell is graded A, B, or C. Grade A is like-new with minimal cosmetic wear. Grade B shows light use but is fully functional. Grade C has noticeable wear but remains structurally sound and usable. We provide detailed descriptions and can send photos upon request.
Can you clean my existing IBC totes?
Yes. Our cleaning and reconditioning service is available for customer-owned totes. Bring us your dirty or contaminated totes and we will clean and recondition them to your specifications. Pricing depends on the level of contamination and services needed.
What happens to totes that cannot be reused?
Totes that have reached end-of-life are recycled through our material recovery process. We separate the HDPE bottle from the steel cage and pallet, and route each material to specialized recyclers. Our recycling process achieves a 98% material recovery rate.
Do you have a phone number?
We do not currently operate a phone line. All communication is handled via email at info@destinibcrecycle.com or through the contact form on our website. This allows us to provide detailed, documented responses to every inquiry. We typically respond within 24 hours on business days.
What are your business hours?
Our facility and yard are open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. Email inquiries and form submissions are accepted 24/7 and are responded to within one business day.
